What are the three things that every great speech must have? If you miss even one of these three things your speech will flounder. You can use these three points to evaluate any speech. You can use if for sermons, discussions, debates, and even conversations with your friends. There are simply three things that you must have in any great audible presentation.

Have One Point

The first thing you need is to have one point. Do not cloud up your presentation with more than one main point. If you feel the need to have other points, please make them subordinate to and supportive of your main point. If your presentation has more than one main point, the people will not know what your speech was about.

Have a Great Opener

The second thing you need to have is a great opener. This opener should grab the attention of the people and push them to desire to hear what you have to present. If you do not have a great opener, the people will not even listen to anything else you have to say.

Have a Strong Close

The final thing you better have in your speech is a strong close. Here you are either calling to action or giving someone something to believe. If you don’t have a strong close, the people will not remember what you presented.

That’s it, if you want to have a great speech, you simply must make sure you have one point, a great opening, and a strong close. If you have these three things, your presentation will be well on the way to being a great one.
